Changes

2009 has been pretty fantastic so far. Nothing beats having 4 of the first 5 days off! Though, NYE wasn’t so spectacular. Hubilicious and I were fast asleep by 10:30pm because we’re crazy like that! I have no regrets about that though – we really needed the sleep.

Since the calendar rolled over a new year and month, we’ve been hearing awesome news from people left and right. A friend got engaged (found out via email which makes it that much more apparent that technology is I guess the way to go. Don’t get me started on finding out a family member’s engagement via myspace). At my birthday party a friend who has been going through the adoption process since the summer told me she got a call around the holidays and there’s a potential baby who is due THIS WEEK so her and her hubby are flying to Texas. CRAZY! They already have the baby’s room done. I just cross my fingers and toes that this works out.

Later that same night, another friend told us she was pregnant – only a month along. It was a serious one-two punch! People all around me are having babies! I have a baby shower to go to in two weeks.

Of course this gets me and hubby thinking and talking. Totally not ready now for any little ones but it’s in the near future.

Oh-nine is the year of weddings and babies. BRING IT ON!
