Taking photos is something I love to do. One day I hope to own a fancy camera and learn all the features and lenses. Maybe be paid for my photos. It’s a lofty dream but something I am passionate about.

One thing I love to take photos of is flowers. The macro setting on my camera gets the most love of them all! One weekend I need to sit down and go through my flower photos and have some of them printed off and framed for the house or for gifts.

I took this photo on Sunday. In prepping for my mom’s birthday party that we hosted at our house, I bought some fresh flowers to put in my new Ikea vase. I love simple vases – I don’t like to take away from the star of the show.

This photo reminds me of summer. It also reminds me that it is wonderful to have fresh flowers in the house – so that is something I’d like to continue all spring/summer long!
