It’s always difficult to come back to work after a long weekend. Today was no exception. Hubby and I hit snooze a multitude of times. I was not looking forward to jumping back in to a 12 hour day – my summer class starts this evening! Ugh.
I received a phone call this morning that made everything a little more worthwhile. A month ago I donated blood at the bloodrive at work. They put your name in a drawing for baseball tickets and it turns out I won! Thankfully they were not for Red Sox tickets (the horror!) but to a local minor league team. The package includes 4 box seats and my photo/story on the team’s website…and….I get to throw the first pitch! Yikes!
I’m super nervous! I haven’t thrown a baseball in forever. I need to spend the week practicing so I don’t choke! When I told hubby he said that a bunch of his coworkers had already planned to be at that game (they work down the road from the stadium) so even more people to watch me make a fool of myself! SO NERVOUS!
I’m sure next week I’ll have photos from the game. Finger’s crossed I don’t make a fool of myself!

the horror of Red Sox tickets? I’m sorry, I don’t think we can be friends any longer
