I thought I’d start answering these little memes each year as a way to commemorate the year. Feel free to do it also :)

1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Took a horse drawn carriage ride through the snow, did my first portrait session, installed flooring in two rooms, planted roses, a hydrangea bush, and a lilac tree and they thrived! Spent an epically long holiday weekend with two folks from Canada, was paid to take pictures, went to Block Island, and I took a pregnancy test at 5am the day after our trip to Block Island and discovered I was indeed pregnant.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I try to stay away from too many resolutions, but I know I always say I want to read more. Pretty sure I failed that one but I’ve been reading a lot more the past week or so and I know my time will be limited come April but I’m trying!
Next year I hope to live more simpler. We’re planning on canceling our overpriced cable plan and scale back on things.

Scott’s aunt passed away in May.

Two things: getting my new job – I was just a few months away from being laid off at my last company and I found a place that really fits me. Also, getting pregnant. It’s been an enjoyable pregnancy and I love how much closer it has made us as a couple and also with our families.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Spending too much energy on things I cannot control, feeling guilt and letting it eat me, etc.

37. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
“You’re the only shoe that fits, I can’t imagine I’ll grow out of it” – an oldie, but a goodie
“I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn’t do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
To make you feel my love” – yup, I’m a sap

It looks to me like you had a pretty great year :) My two highlights are getting engaged and our trip to visit you. I still always talk about it, and I can’t wait to come back (if you’ll have us :P)
I hope 2011 is off to a great start for you and Scott, and it’ll only be a matter of time before you have your little Baby Boo! :)
